Countdown to Landry - 8 days to go...
We had our last doctor visit today. Since we are scheduled to have a C-Section next Tuesday, there is no need to go back to the office. The visit went well. There's no way to tell when she might come but we know that if she doesn't arrive sooner, next Tuesday we will be headed to the hospital. So happy to have a light at the end of the tunnel. We cannot wait to meet our little Landry.
The Schulin Wedding
Landry is already minding her mother. She's going to be such a good girl! All Mommy wanted was to be able to attend Chad and Meredith's wedding this past weekend. We made it!! It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. We love Chad and Mere dearly and were so happy to be part of their special day. I didn't do much dancing but still had a great time. It snowed like crazy and the newlyweds had quite a memorable carriage ride to their hotel. I bought a very cute spring dress and ended up wearing black tights and shoes with it. Oh well. Below are most likely the last prego pictures of me that you will see.

The Room Is Finally Coming Together....
Here are some pics of her room. We are almost done. Still need to put some stuff on the walls but we're almost there...
Look at the letters that Diane made. Aren't they adorable?
Here's another view with the glider and chest.
Look at this closet. She has more clothes than her Mom. Well, almost.... She's definitely on track with her shoe collection.
Here's her watch dog. He loves to hang out in this room.
Isn't Technology Amazing!!!!
Mom bought us a wonderful present - a 3D/4D Sonogram. How neat was that! I have posted some pictures below. She really didn't want to show us her face but we finally got a few profile pics. Seeing her on this just made us want her to be here even faster! We cannot wait to hold her and pinch those chubby cheeks!
It's kinda hard to see. She's facing the left and has her arm wrapped around her neck under her chin.
Look at that sweet face!
We were able to watch her grab her foot with her hand. It was pretty awesome.
Here's another foot grabbing
Doctor Doctor - Give Me The News
So, we're down to weekly appointments with our OB. By the way, she is awesome. Call me if you need a great OB in Dallas. Anyway, as you may have seen on the earlier post, Landry was weighing a little high and measuring a few weeks ahead. I was beginning to wonder how big our little Pumpkin was going to be. We went back to the doctor and had our last sonogram on March 2nd. We were 36 weeks at the time. She weighed in at 6lbs 2 oz and is right on track with her height measurements. So, at about a 1/2 pound per week, she could be as big as 8lbs but I'm estimating she'll be more like 7lbs. Good news/Bad news - this was our last sonogram (bad news) because she still has plenty of room to grow (good news). We continue to see the Dr each week and now it's just a wait and see. She checks my progress but can't really tell when Landry might decide to enter this world. If she comes early, the dr doesn't seem to be too worried. Otherwise, we'll head in for our scheduled C-Section on March 30th.
Showers, Showers, and More Showers
No, I'm not talking about the rain. Oh my gosh, the last half of February was filled with amazing baby showers. Here's a quick recap:
A wonderful group of my Mom's friends hosted a shower at her house. They put together quite a spread of food and the wine flowed freely. No wine for me of course, I guess I'll have to wait for a sip and see once Landry gets here. It was a wonderful evening and we received some amazing gifts. Even better, my best friend's mom, Linda Sue, was in town for a couple of days and was able to stay for the shower. I will post some pictures soon.
A couple of days later I headed over to my Mother-In-Law's (Mary Lou) house for another shower. It was hosted by my sister-in-law (Adria) and my Aunts on Doug's side. There were so many people there! The food was catered by Ruth who is amazing. She made the cakes for our wedding. There were so many people from Doug's family there. It is such a change for me to have such a large, wonderful family. My family is also wonderful, we're just not as big and live further apart. In addition to family, so many of Mary Lou's wonderful friends were there. Again, we received a ton of wonderful gifts. I can't express my appreciation to everyone.
The following weekend we headed to Chad & Meredith's for a couples baby shower hosted together with Brad & Jenny. They did an awesome job. As soon as I have pics, I'll post them. The cake was not only adorable, but tasted amazing. Once again, the food was incredible. Are you seeing a common theme here? Pregnant lady and food - hmmm. The other great thing about the shower was that we told everyone to bring their little ones. They were awesome. We had visits from Harley, Hudson, Byron, Kate & Lily, and Britton. So exciting and such a great glimpse of things to come. My brother and his girlfriend also came to town which made it even more special.
